This 4 Days Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari is a great way to experience game viewing, Chimpanzee tracking, and Gorilla trekking in a short time and without spending a fortune. Enjoy a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Chimpanzee tacking at Kalinju Forest, and Gorilla trekking in Bwindi.
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
On arrival, you will be met by our company representative and your driver/guide at Entebbe Airport. Alternatively, you will be picked up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with lunch en route in Mbarara and arriving at the park late afternoon to enjoy an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at Elephant Hab Lodge
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinju & Transfer to Bwindi
Have early morning breakfast and go for Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinju forest on the Queen Elizabeth Park boundary. The activity lasts 3 to 4 hours, and later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park with lunch en-route in Ntungamo or Kabale town.
Proceed to Bwindi, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge
Day 3: Gorilla trekking Uganda – Bwindi
Enjoy early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for briefing by the ranger guides and later head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. These primates roam the park freely, and there is no way of telling where they will be for a particular day.
On finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to view and take photos of these gentle primates, enjoy your lunch packs, meet your driver/guide, and transfer back to your lodge. The time after trekking can be spent on a village tour or lazing off at the hotel as you savour the memories of your gorilla trek in Bwindi and prepare for the next day. Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed to Kampala, arriving in the afternoon. Drop off at your hotel in Kampala, or Entebbe Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your 4 Days Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari.
