Sipi Falls Tour – Visit the 3 Sipi Falls Sites
The Sipi Falls tour takes you for a visit to a series of three waterfalls found in eastern Uganda in the district of Kapchorwa. There are 3 Sipi Falls sites in different locations.
Sipi 1: This is seen from 100 meters distance at Sipi Falls Resort – formerly owned by Volcanoes but now under the new management of the locals
Sipi 2: Sipi Falls 2 can easily be accessed and viewed through Sipi River Lodge. You will have a choice between the long hike to the top of the falls, a short one, and watching from the bottom. Along the trek, your guide will give you an explanation about the different shrubs and herbs.
At the bottom of the falls, you will discover a man-made cave that was a result of ancient mining by the early inhabitants of the area.
Sipi 3: If you are looking for a real adventure, Sipi Falls 3 is the real deal. You will get up close and personal with the roar of the falls and water splashing on you like steam all over the place. If you are daring enough, you will be drenched in less than a minute, and the cold splashes of this waterfall will leave you excited!
Sipi Falls 3 transforms into a natural bridge where water flows underground, and one can only hear the sound but cannot see the running stream! That’s a wonder.
The coffee tour: During the coffee tour, we will visit a group of widowed Sabiny women who lost their husbands to the Karamajong cattle rustlers and are now coffee farmers. The visit will include a tour of the coffee plantations and an explanation of the different stages from planting to harvesting until coffee beans are ready to drink!
Sipi Falls Tour Itinerary – 3 Days Mbale & Sipi Falls Tour
Day 1: Transfer to Mbale
You will be picked up from the airport in Entebbe, your hotel in Kampala, or any other agreed place of pick up and transferred to Mbale town. The drive takes you through the renowned Mabira forest and Jinja with lots of optional activities. Dinner and overnight at Mbale Resort Hotel
Day 2: Explore Mbale & Transfer to Kapchorwa
Enjoy breakfast and explore the Wanale cliff to enjoy a 360-degree view of Mbale town, Sironko, and its surroundings, including the different waterfalls. Have lunch in Mbale town and later transfer to Kapchorwa – the home of Sipi Falls. Dinner and overnight at Sipi River Lodge
Day 3: Sipi Falls & Back to Kampala
Have your breakfast early enough and begin your exploration of all the 3 Sipi Falls sites, after which you will embark on your journey back to Kampala with lunch en route, in Mbale town, and arriving in Kampala late evening. Drop-off will be at your place of abode in Kampala or Entebbe airport for your onward flight.
