This 3 Days Murchison Falls Tour offers an exciting Uganda safari combining excellent wildlife viewing, a boat cruise, rhino tracking, and an incredible primate tracking experience. In just 3 days, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, explore the Top of Murchison Falls, enjoy a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, take a launch cruise, and track chimpanzees in Budongo Forest.
The tour begins and ends in Entebbe or Kampala and you will be accompanied by a very experienced tour guide in a comfortable 4X4 safari vehicle, providing a smoother and more enjoyable safari experience.
Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
Your guide will pick you up from an agreed location in Kampala, Entebbe, or Entebbe Airport and transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s famous wildlife destination.
En route, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place where you can see rhinos in Uganda. The rhino experience provides an excellent introduction to your 3 Days Murchison Falls Tour before continuing towards the national park.
Proceed to Masindi for lunch and then continue to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the afternoon. You will enter the park through Kichumbanyobo Gate and visit the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River is forced through a narrow gorge.
After visiting the Top of the Falls, proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Pakuba Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Murchison Falls Game Drive and Launch Cruise
Breakfast will be served early before you head out for a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, one of the highlights of this 3 Days Murchison Falls Tour.
During the game drive, you will be in search of some of the Big Five, including lions, buffaloes, and elephants. Giraffes are also a common sight, together with other wildlife such as antelopes, impalas, and primates like baboons.
After the game drive, have lunch before heading out in the afternoon for a launch cruise on the Nile River towards the base of Murchison Falls. The boat cruise brings you close to large numbers of hippos and a serried range of giant crocodiles.
The Murchison Falls launch cruise also presents excellent bird-viewing opportunities along the river. After the cruise, return for dinner and an overnight stay at Sambiya River Lodge, in preparation for the following day’s chimpanzee trek.
Day 3: Budongo Forest Chimpanzee Tracking & Back to Kampala
Enjoy an early morning breakfast before visiting Budongo Forest for Chimpanzee tracking in the Kaniyopabid area, where you will have the opportunity to track about 100 habituated chimpanzees.
Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest provides an exciting primate experience and is a fitting final activity for your 3 Days Murchison Falls Tour.
After tracking, proceed with the drive back to Kampala, arriving in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at your booked hotel or Entebbe Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your 3 Days Murchison Falls Tour.
