Day 1: Arrival & Hotel Transfer.
On arrival, you will be met by our company representative and your driver/guide at Entebbe Airport and transfer to your lodge in Kampala for dinner and overnight Stay at Papyrus Guest House Entebbe
Day 2:Mabamba Swamp tour & Transfer to Kampala
after breakfast, you will drive to the harbor to enter the boat. The boat has life-vests. Boat-ride across the lake with beautiful view of Entebbe, the airport, fishermen and lots of birds, especially on approaching the swamps.At Mabamba or Bussi, you disembark the bigger boat and enter the smaller canoes for the Mabamba Swamps. The canoes will take a maximum of 3 persons excluding the driver and guide.
After some minutes in the canoe, the papyrus reads opens up into the big grassy swamps. Most of the times this is where the Shoebill can be spotted. After about two hours, you will return to the harbor and back to Entebbe. Relax, enjoy lunch and later visit the Entebbe botanical gardens and transfer to Kampala. Dinner and overnight at Fairway Hotel.
Day 3:Kampala to Murchison falls
after breakfast, your guide will pick you up and drive to Murchison falls national park. It will take you around 5 hours from Kampala with about 305 km. If you please, you may go for Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary located along the way to Murchison falls! Have lunch and proceed to Murchison entering the park through Kichumbanyobo gate. Visit the top of the falls and then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Heritage Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Game drive and launch cruise
You will enjoy early morning breakfast and then go for a game drive where you will spot various wildlife including elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs among others. In the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on the park’s main tourist attraction – the unique Murchison Falls as well as the River Nile with its streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, and large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 5: Murchison – Kibale National Park
Enjoy breakfast and start your long, scenic journey to Kibale national park. This is a full day drive and you will have lunch en-route in Fort portal town. Proceed to Kibale arriving late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee forest guest house.
Day 6:Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale
after breakfast, you will go for Chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda.
This is place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primates coupled with chimpanzees. After trekking you will return to the lodge for lunch and later visit Bigodi wetland area for a great nature walk and remarkable bird life! Spend your evening relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 7:Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park
enjoy breakfast and make your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park driving across the lush green and scenic country side and small towns. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park arriving at your lodge well in time for lunch. Have lunch and relax at the lodge as you cherish the vast expansive view of the park’s plains. Dinner and overnight at Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge.
Day 8: Explore Ishasha Sector – Queen Elizabeth
You will have breakfast at the lodge and transfer for a full day exploration of the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park for fantastic game viewing including the tree climbing lions. The Ishasha sector is less affected by mass tourism and has a higher concentration of the wildlife! Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for a good swim and catch the sunset as you enjoy a cold beer! Dinner and overnight at the lodge as above.
Day 9: Game drive and Launch Cruise
You will go for an early morning a game drive in the Kasenyi sector, you may spot various animals like the elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast, in the afternoon you will go for a launch cruise on Kazinga Channel famous for the highest concentration of Hippos in Africa! You will also see crocodiles among others. The cruise will also enrich you with various water birds and other bird species along the sandbanks. Return for Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer to Bwindi forest national park with a stopover for lunch en-route in Kabala town. Proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp
Day 11: Gorilla trekking – Bwindi
You will have early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing by the ranger guide and later head into the forest trekking until you encounter the mountain gorillas. This could take 4-8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. On finding them, you will be allowed to spend one hour with these gentle giants and later return and transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 12: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale where you will arrive well in time for Lunch. Enjoy lunch in Kabale and proceed to Lake Bunyonyi where you will embark on a boat cruise visiting the different islands while enjoying the magnificent scenery and a lot of birdlife. You will encounter the local people and get to know about their lives as they display their craftsmanship and weaving skills for ladies. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi overland resort.
Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo NP, Game drive and boat ride.
You will have an early morning breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National park where you will arrive well in time for lunch. Enjoy lunch at the lodge and later go for an afternoon boat ride where you will encounter a number of birds and enjoy the experience! Return for dinner and overnight at Eagle’s Nest Lodge.
Day 14: Game drive and Transfer back to Kampala
Enjoy early morning game drive; the park is home to herds of Impala, as well as the more uncommon Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer. Burchells Zebra and buffalo also graze these areas. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch, then drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for photography and the equator experience. Proceed to Kampala arriving in the evening. Day 15: Airport Transfer and departure
You will enjoy breakfast and transfer to Entebbe airport for your flight back home Or, depending on your flight schedule, have a brief city tour of Kampala, enjoy lunch and later transfer to the Airport for your onward flight.
