My driver was Tonny, a very dedicated professional who was... read more attentive to all of my needs. The drive from Entebbe to Bwindi is long but Tonny drove safely, something that isn't always guaranteed. 

Once we arrived in Bwindi, the accommodation was cozy and the staff were very kind, ensuring I had everything I needed. The food was good, the views to the forest were amazing and you get to see baboons playing outside of your room.

The trek went smoothly and I also participated in a hike in the afternoon to see a waterfall, an activity I was not expecting to do but was very glad I did!

The drive back also went well and Tonny dropped me off in my hotel in Kampala. 

I am very glad I chose Achieve Global Safaris and I would recommend it to anyone.

  East Africa safari of a lifetime with local Operator  - This group of four from Canada first contacted Achieve Global one year in advance for a safari that covered UG and TZ. We worked with Doreen via whatsapp. ... read more This is a local Kampala UG company. And chose them as they were local to UG which was our starting location. Happily, Doreen was able to provide local TZ experiences as well. Their prices were much less than the South African and other international companies. Our guides (Joseph O for UG and Medad for TZ) were both fantastic. We were able to get to know them both and appreciated their guidance and friendship. The guides were professional with encyclopedic knowledge of the local wildlife and were careful to research unknowns instead of guessing based on our naive “what was that cool bird?”. Doreen prepared a comprehensive 3 week itinerary for UG and TZ. The UG tour included a loop such as Murchison Falls in the north, chimpanzees in Kibale, QE national park, gorillas at Bwindi in the south, and Lake Mburo returning to Entebbe. In TZ our tour included a loop from Kilimanjaro to Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Olduvai, Mara River back to Lake Manyara before ending in Arusha. We had selected mid range, and the accommodation was very good throughout with luxury tented camps in some and nice hotels for others. Doreen handled all details, accommodated requests and handled all questions and issues arising. Don’t be afraid to ask for possible add ins, substitutions. Within reason, the guides were able to adjust the schedule to accommodate new whims including a night safari and changing the order of a walking safari based on local developments. This was well scheduled and executed and we have already recommended them to our friends and associates.

With... read more just two days to plan, Doreen was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly responsive, answered all my questions promptly, and went above and beyond to accommodate every request.

We asked for a trip that included Murchison Falls National Park and Lake Bunyonyi, and Doreen crafted a brilliant 6-day itinerary. It included a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where we had the amazing experience of tracking rhinos on foot, and an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale Forest, a thrilling and unexpected highlight that added even more variety to our safari.

Our driver, Eddie, was excellent,so professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He adapted the schedule to accommodate whatever came our way, including rain and road delays, while always keeping us informed and comfortable. He was also able to answer all of our animal (and beyond!) related questions with ease.

The safari in Murchison Falls was simply incredible. Within minutes, we saw a lioness and a hippo crossing the road! We were lucky enough to see so many animals, even a pack of hyenas, which felt like a rare treat.

All the accommodation was great, especially Kibale Forest Camp, where we fell asleep to the sound of rain on the tent and woke to monkeys swinging through the trees. So much care was taken with the food and to make us feel welcome.

I was initially worried that the long drives would be tiring, but Uganda is so lush and beautiful, with banana trees lining the roads and stunning landscapes everywhere, that the journey became part of the adventure.

The chimpanzees were full of drama and showmanship, making that trek feel like a true once-in-a-lifetime experience. We now can’t wait to return to see the gorillas!

  Best trip ever.  - A big thank you to my wonderful guide/ driver Haruna that really felt like my best friend. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with my best interests at heart.... read more He kept me safe both on the road and just day to day. As a solo female traveller that was a huge plus. We laughed a lot and I had an experience second to none.
I would also like to thank Doreen who organised my tour. She was always very good at getting back to me quickly and accommodating my wishes. Thank you so much to Haruna, Doreen and Global. I had a fantastic time.

  Rough roads and great adventures  - We were lucky enough to have the vehicle all to ourselves which was great. Elisa our guide was a great guide and driver navigating very rough roads with confidence. He... read more was always on time. Doreen was very good for the booking process and answered all of our questions. We felt it was good value considering the costs of fuel lodges food etc. Elisa cleaned the whole vehicle every day and seemed to know everything about Uganda and the surrounding areas/countries. Highlights for us were the chimpanzees and gorillas.
We would recommend Achieve to anybody who would like to explore Uganda - it’s a scenic country with friendly people!
